This is a project I worked on at IDcreations. Our client, NIO electric cars, was launching their first-generation ES6 at their launch event, and this is the launch video. The reason I chose to present is that my edits coordinate with the music, and it shows the importance of the interaction of video edits and the music beats. Similar to the importance of human interaction with technology and computers, the harmony and rhythm that the edits align with the music make the viewing experience joyful and eye-catching. Therefore, this project shows not only my video editing skills, but also my understanding of how interaction is important to the experience.

I used Adobe Premiere Pro as my video editing tools. Workflow was the standard video editing workflow, in which I assembled the raw footage and had a first rough cut along with the music. There are several rounds of feedback, particularly with the exact timing of each cuts, client were precise and detailed. After confirmation of rounds of feedback, the locked cut goes into DaVinci Resolve for color grading. And after the client’s confirmation, we have a final viewing in our office. In the end, the client was happy and satisfied with our work, and the launch event was successful.
